Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Aaron Melendez—founder, chef, and creative mind behind Off The Cuff Kitchen.

I’ve spent over 20 years in the kitchen, not just cooking, but helping real people eat better without feeling restricted or overwhelmed. My journey began with a simple realization: life is busy and unpredictable, and most of us don’t always have the time (or energy) to cook the way we truly want to eat.

What started as me meal-prepping for a few friends quickly grew into something bigger. My best friend, Misa, was the very first person to trust me as a client, and from there, Off The Cuff Kitchen began to take shape. I saw the need for flexible, real, flavorful meals that meet people where they’re at—whether you’re an athlete, a busy parent, a professional on the go, or simply someone who wants to feel better in their body.

Off The Cuff Kitchen isn’t just my journey—it’s a family one. Together with my dad and uncle, we bring more than 90 years of combined experience in the kitchen. From cooks and kitchen supervisors to production management, foodservice director roles, and even bakery and café management, our family’s background covers it all. That depth of experience shapes every meal we create. At Off The Cuff Kitchen, you’re not just getting food—you’re getting generations of passion, skill, and care on every plate.

Since launching, I’ve been humbled by the way the El Paso community has embraced and supported us. Every order, every referral, and every word of encouragement has helped build something real and lasting.

Today, we proudly serve clients across El Paso with everything from macro-based meal prep to soulful comfort dishes with a healthy twist. Whether you’re with us for a week or a year, our mission is simple: to make your meals the easiest, most enjoyable part of your day.
